Perhaps it should be left to his medical peers to give Mr Mohammadi the accolade of being a truly great surgeon but this I believe him to be. I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in April, 2024 and after four cycles of chemotherapy, I had a robot-assisted oesophagectomy at UCLH on September, 2024. I do believe it was a 10 hour operation and I am now at home, not much more than 2 weeks later, digesting the news that my biopsy has come back cancer free. I feel truly blessed that Mr Mohammadi was able to conduct wholly robotic surgery as opposed to open surgery and feel that I have been the lucky recipient of medical progress wielded by a consummate professional. What I can say without the need of professional medical knowledge is that Mr Mohammadi is a truly remarkable man with incomparable "people skills". He told me at our first meeting that he considered it his duty to see my surgery through to a successful conclusion and that he would not be handing my post-operative care on to anybody else. He said he would be watching my progress "like a hawk" and he was true to his word. I did have a couple of worrying blips post surgery, but Mr Mohammadi was constantly available and I always felt that I was receiving personal, world class care. I do know of a previous patient of Mr Mohammadi who established and retained a friendship with him many years after his successful surgery and who counts him as a family friend. I can only hope that this is replicated in my own case. He truly is a remarkable man and has restored my rather jaded notions of human nature and kindness. I simply could not recommend him highly enough.

Mr Mohammadi - Boz - is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but one of the kindest, gentlest doctors imaginable. He cared for me as if I was a member of his family and I felt safe in his experienced hands. I trusted him completely despite the major surgery I faced (extended total gastrectomy). My cancer diagnosis was a shock and the treatment is challenging in the extreme but it really helped me to deal with that knowing that I had such a great surgeon. My surgery was successful and words cannot express the debt of gratitude I feel to Mr Mohammadi. He always spoke to me as an equal. He never patronised or minimised things to me, but always remained reassuring and positive seeking the best possible of outcomes that could be achieved. He was vey humble in his manner, praising his junior team and his oncology and radiotherapy colleagues. He always made the effort to speak to me personally afterwards for instance if he was not on the ward round. I felt that I really mattered to him and feel incredibly lucky that he was able to save my life. He has a 'can do' attitude no matter how big or small the task. In outpatient clinic he did my wound dressing rather than pass me on, and did the administrative booking with a tricky IT system to get me seen by a cardiologist. When I said how difficult recovery was proving he listened and understood, and reassured me that this was not unusual after such major surgery and gave advice going forward. I felt very included and very expertly cared for by Mr Mohammadi and cannot praise him enough.

Dr. Boz was outstanding from my first consultation for a recurring hernia. He conducted a robotic repair which has healed perfectly and gives no pain. At the post op clinic he noticed a small build up of fluid which a junior doctor had overlooked so he saw me again after 9 months and this time all was in order. Boz was always knowledgeable and fully briefed knowing my history and condition. I felt that I was in very safe hands throughout. Many thanks indeed Boz!!

It has been a difficult 5 months living with a very large Hiatus Hernia. My life was becoming impossible and bringing up most of my meals most of the time. From the moment I had a face to face appointment with Mr Mohammadi I felt I had a chance of getting my life back. I was told my problem was complicated but he knew exactly what needed doing. The operation seemed a blur now but at the time I was in ICU for 4 day it was a very rough time. I have just had the all clear and that my operation was successful. I’m eating well and back to regular exercise and Mr Mohammadi has literally given me my life back. He is an exceptional surgeon and determined to get the job done no matter what it would take. I feel fortunate to have been under Mr Mohammadi and his team and he is a credit to his profession and UCLH.

Mr Mohammedi is a caring, communicative and trustworthy physician and surgeon. He immediately put me at ease and explained what my problem was and how he could fix it. True to his word, my treatment went ahead and I have not felt so well in years. I underwent over 3 hours of surgery to return my stomach from my chest to my abdomen and then repair a very large hiatal hernia. I felt complete trust that the operation would be successful and my recovery was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Mohammedi to anyone requiring his expertise. A wonderful man and surgeon.

Mr Mohammadi saved my life when I was 80 years old and had an aggressive form of stomach cancer which was at stage 4.. He went over and above to give me the best treatment and care I could have wished for. He treated my family with kindness and understanding. He kept my wife informed - phoning her when he was straight out of theatre. I can’t thank him enough and thanks to him I am still alive and cancer free 7+ years later at 87. I would 100% recommend this surgeon.

I believe Mr Mohammadi literally saved my life when I came into A&E with a complicated bowel obstruction which looked on scan to be stage 4 cancer. He performed an emergency operation taking difficult decisions and looked after me and my family with wonderful care and understanding. I had complete trust in him and we all felt i could not be in better hands. Luckily although I was very ill the histology showed it was not malignant and I am recovering well. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to such a charming, compassionate and skilled surgeon.

Mr Mohammadi is an excellent doctor and surgeon. From my first appointment, his care has been exemplary. He was careful to ensure that any abnormal investigations were thoroughly followed up prior to my operation. It was clear that my safety was paramount. He gave clear and evidence-based opinions and communicated risk and benefits of my operation well. My family and I valued his attention, communication and compassion. My surgery went well and I am extremely grateful for Mr Mohammadi’s skill, care and commitment to his patients. A credit to UCLH.

Please post this article I recently had a Hiatus Hernia operation at the Cleveland Clinic London Hospital performed by Mr Borzoueh Mohammadi, Consultant Upper GI and General Surgeon and would just like to say how much I would recommend him and his team. He talked me through what would happen and carried out my procedure taking out all the stress. He talks face to face in a way that made me feel confident in what he was doing. He is a lovely person who made me feel comfortable and confident about my surgery. My operation was successful and the aftercare was brilliant. Lovely Clinic, Great Surgeon and Wonderful Nurses. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back if necessary and would highly recommend him.

Bos Mohammedi is a wonderful consultant and surgeon. I have been under his care for 18 months for an oesophagectomy and he has been a source of great professionalism and support He has a very relaxed and personable style and insists on calling him by his first name. This makes the client doctor relationship much more of a partnership and I feel that I can ask him anything and receive an honest and clear answer. He has operated on me four times in the last 15 months. Each time he explained carefully the procedure, risks and outcome. I would recommend Bos thoroughly

Mr Mohammadi is not only a highly skilled surgeon but he is also a very caring, very patient and a very understanding surgeon who listens carefully to his patients and family as well. He has displayed great empathy to me as well as to my next of kin. He took time to explain the surgery and the recovery; he answered our questions and helped us navigate through the most difficult time of my life. I had my surgery during lockdown and as the hospital did not allow visitors, he made it a point to call my next of kin everyday to give her an update of my progress. This brought great reassurance and comfort to my family who would otherwise be in the dark with regards to my condition in the ITU. Mr Mohammadi is very perceptive of his patients’ needs not just on physical healing but also on the emotional and mental level as well. He gave encouragement when needed and steered me toward a more positive outlook during uncertain times. I cannot thank Mr Mohammadi enough for all he has done and I would highly recommend him.

The level of care was outstanding. At no point was I made to feel that I was asking too many questions. I was fully informed at every point prior to my procedure and post operative care was equally outstanding. Administrative arrangements were highly effective and ensured there was no unanswered questions or queries about my treatment. Mr Mohammedi's significant experience and ability in his field was evident throughout my treatment and enabled me to feel reassured at all times. His calm yet determined approach, focussed on achieving the best outcomes for me, has resulted in outstanding results and I would highly recommend anyone to be under his care.

If there were more than five stars to choose from, I would have happily chosen it for Mr B. Mohammadi. I recently had a diagnostic Laparoscopy procedure done by him and I found him very professional and approachable. His empathetic nature made me feel very well looked after, very rare quality to find in a consultant surgeon. His reassurances and advice made me feel a lot better in my convalescence. He is a credit to the medical profession. I would highly recommend him, also he has built a fantastic team around him which makes everything run smoothly for patients. Special thanks to Iwona too. Thank you so much.

It was my first experience with surgery and I was really impressed with Dr Mohammadi. He advised that I could wait for birth of my second child before booking the surgery. Discussing it with my wife, we then decided to go ahead and have the hernia repair surgery as soon as possible instead to get it out of the way before the birth. The doctor and his excellent PA Iwona couldn't have been more helpful in organising the surgery within a week. The advise and then the actual surgery couldn't have been better. Thank you and Iwona for looking after me so well.

I met Mr Mohammadi after several years being managed for duodenum ulcers by another hospital. As soon as I met Mr Mohammadi and his team I received a treatment plan and patient care that eclipsed my experience with previous hospital. Mr Mohammadi instilled a confidence in me and took time to explain all the variables of surgery - which I decided upon. He is clearly an excellent surgeon and the whole team in theatre, nurses in ITU and staff on his ward reflect his dedication and professionalism. I did not expect a daily visit from my surgeon post surgery but was incredibly impressed that Mr Mohammadi did this. I had my operation in 2018 but only realised I could provide this feedback recently. I honestly cannot think of anything that Mr Mohammadi could improve upon having been under his care. His professionalism whilst communicating with me, not just as a patient but as a person with concerns and questions, was equalled by the surgery he performed. I owe him and his team, and UCLH, the most enormous thanks.

I was treated by Mr Mohammadi for a second hernia operation after a first (laparoscopic) one by a different surgeon failed. I have worked as a clinician for thirty years in the NHS and am full of admiration for him, being particularly struck by how understanding he was of the predicament I found myself in, and the feelings associated with that (being in pain and significantly incapacitated, but unable to bring forward my NHS appointment). I was assessed expertly and compassionately. All matters I considered relevant were discussed fully. I was seen privately at the Spire Hospital Bushey, but had I seen Mr Mohammadi on the NHS I have no doubt that his treatment of me would have been every bit as considerate and thorough, such is my impression of the man. There was absolutely no sense of rush or that the consultation was merely "routine". And every indication, now three months on, is that the procedure has gone well.

Mr Mohammadi treated my husband for repeat hernia surgery. The previous operation by another surgeon had been unsuccessful. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Mohammadi's listening skills. My husband was the patient, so appropriately he addressed my husband in the consultation, however he also frequently checked whether I too had something to say. I have never been treated so respectfully in a joint consultation. He made sure we understood what the operation involved. He gave the consultation the time that it needed. He also worked around our timing maximising the possibility for the operation to happen and recovery to begin and for me to still keep a commitment in the States. The surgery was successful and I am indeed profoundly grateful to Mr Mohammadi for his technical skills. The human contact on either side of the surgery was what makes Mr Mohammadi an outstanding doctor. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was recommended to Mr Mohammadi to discuss having my Gallbladder removed. Prior to seeing him I was quite anxious, knowing I needed surgery, but having been denied Carpal Tunnel surgery a couple of months earlier at Bishop's Wood Hospital due to my medical history posing a risk. At my initial Consultation Mr Mohammadi reviewed my Watford General hospital notes thoroughly, explained everything about the surgery and reassured me completely. He suggested it would be advisable for me to have the Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy at The London Clinic where there were ICU facilities, should they be needed. I was quite happy about this as it was such a relief to know the surgery I needed could go ahead. I had my pre-op Assessment at The London Clinic and was very impressed with the efficiency with which all the tests were carried out. Mr Mohammadi had suggested I should meet Ms Koutra, the anaesthetist, during my Assessment because of my complex medical history and I found her very charming and exceedingly reassuring. When I went to The London Clinic on the day of my surgery I had no anxiety at all because Mr Mohammadi had explained everything thoroughly and I knew he was arranging for me to be monitored in the ICU overnight following the surgery. I'm sure the comfort, facilities and wonderful nursing care I received in the ICU speeded up my recovery. Mr Mohammadi ensured I had first class care from my initial Consultation right through to my follow up appointment yesterday. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Mohammadi as a surgeon, not only because of his medical skills in what turned out to be a more complex surgery than anticipated, but because he has such a pleasant manner and spends whatever time is needed to ensure he has answered any questions you may have.

It is almost three months since I emerged from a surgical operation performed on my esophagus and stomach at UCLH by the excellent surgeons Borzoueh Mohammadi and Nima Abbassi and backed up by their support teams. I feel super well, better than I have felt for 20 years, and am confident these superb guys work has positively impacted my life! I want to thank these gentlemen from the deepest depths of my soul for what they team have done for me. I can't imagine the skill, knowledge and resources that have made this possible. What is perhaps sometimes underestimated, but critical in my view, is the natural empathy and understanding they showed me and their genuine concern and time they offered in regards to my welfare. Many people often relate fears and negative comments relating to being in hospitals, but I found my experience at UCLH actually very uplifting on many levels. I just wanted to give you surgeons a big thanks and also to thank their surgical support team, the excellent recovery team, and of course those incredibly hard working nursing teams on T6. I am determined to look after this new investment you have provided me. My best regards, Ross Dimmock

Mr Mohammadi is so suited to his profession. He has clearly gone into medicine for all the right reasons. I cannot speak highly enough of him after he operated on me. At a consultation he immediately puts you at ease and radiates confidence with his knowledge, calmness and the fact he listens. During his conversations with me he showed me respect, politeness, patience, rounded off with a cheerful disposition. He spoke at a level which a non medical person could understand and made sure I understood everything before he moved on. He is obviously a very busy man but there is no attempt to rush a consultation. A genuinely nice and modest man. My operation and my post op went much better than I could have hoped for. I have already recommended him to a dear friend. I know he will look after her well.
