Endometriosis is a chronic condition where the layer of tissue that’s found inside the uterus, called the endometrium, grows outside of it. This is a common condition, affecting 1 in 10 menstruating people worldwide. That alone is 1.5 million people in the UK. We sat down with a leading obstetrician and gynaecologist to tell us more about the symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment of endometriosis.
