Facial rejuvenation is one of the most common treatments in aesthetic medicine. There are numerous non-invasive techniques which are used to improve flaccidity significantly, without the need to stay in hospital. The patient can resume their daily routine the day after.

Two of the most effective techniques are tensioning and ultherapy. We usually advise our patients that all the dermo-aesthetic techniques are complementary to each other: that is, a patient will always benefit from the advantages of both, since their positive effects will accumulate and therefore, the patient will notice a greater improvement.

The use of 'threads'

Dermal tensing with polydioxanone tensile strands concentrates the formation of collagen in the direction of the implanted strands. By implanting very thin threads along different skin planes, we create a mesh to cause the flaccid skin to retract, increasing its firmness and providing a smoother consistency. It is simple to apply, does not cause discomfort and offers maximum safety, as the material is biodegradable and is often used in surgical sutures.

Lifting without surgery

The new treatment of ultherapy, is a facelift without surgery. This treatment makes it possible to reach the deepest layers of the skin by means of ultrasound, thus tightening areas such as the mandibular arch, eyelids, and cleavage. Ultherapy results in retraction of lax skin and significant improvement in skin tone by stimulation of the formation of new collagen. Essentially, these are two very valid and complementary techniques: non-invasive, simple, and both enable an immediate return to daily life. The effects last approximately a year and the treatments can be done in the summer, since solar radiation does not affect them. Additionally, they can be combined with other techniques as advised by a medical professional.
