I arranged to see Professor Sharma for a second opinion - and thank goodness I did. He and his team totally understood my heart condition - and clearly explained everything all the way through the process. The fact that professor Sharma asked me to go in the treadmill again and watched over the test gave me so much confidence in his diagnosis. He communicated clearly, and listened well as well.

I have been treated by Prof Sharma for several years. In all that time, I have been utterly impressed by his care, concern and (very importantly) his smiling openness and approachability. Prof Sharma is at the top of his profession, yet he communicates like a friend, someone who is genuinely interested in my wider life story, rather than just my condition. He listens and acts, and I am always convinced that I am being properly cared for.

It was clear that the Professor had done some background research on my medical situation and entered the consultation with some precise questions to ask me. These targeted questions were used to assist the Professor in assessing my condition and explore possible future treatment.
While I recognise that my condition is serious, the Professor was positive and reassuring helping put my mind to some ease

Professor Sharma seems very experienced in cardiology for athletes. I am a keen athlete and my AF is likely to be caused by me training very intensely for many decades. He has done some great analysis of my ECGs and test results. He communicates well and I trust his advice
