Dr Meriel McEntagart

Professional statement

Dr Meriel McEntagart is a leading clinical geneticist based in London, currently practising at The International Gene Clinic. She specialises in general clinical genetics with a specific focus on neurogenetics, particularly in neuromuscular disorders.
 
Dr McEntagart obtained her medical qualification in Ireland in 1991 and achieved her CCT in clinical genetics in the UK in 2004. During her academic pursuits in genetics, she pursued an MSc in clinical genetics at UCL in 1998, followed by the completion of her MD in 2003.

She remains actively involved in neurogenetic research, collaborating with Professor Andrew Crosby of St George's, University of London and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
