What happens during mole mapping? Here's why you should check your moles
Description:
Here's why you should get your moles mapped! Mole mapping identifies new moles or changes to existing moles, which can be a sign of skin cancer. During your appointment, a consultant dermatologist will closely examine your moles and take photos. Your consultant will let you know if they identify any abnormalities. If so, they may recommend a biopsy or the removal of any abnormal moles. Regular mole mapping creates an ongoing record of your moles. This can make it easier to detect any changes, leading to a faster diagnosis and treatment. Mole mapping is a quick, painless and simple procedure, but it can make a big difference. Not sure what to expect? We run you through the entire procedure in our latest video with Ramia Mokbel, Consultant Dermatologist at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. #SkinCancerAwarenessMonth HCA Healthcare UK http://www.hcahealthcare.co.uk Call us on: 020 3131 9145 Follow us on: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/2143367 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HCAHealthcareUK Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hcahealthcareuk/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/hcahospitalsuk #healthcare #medical
