Dr Dean Creer is an established and reputable chest (respiratory medicine) specialist (pulmonologist) based in London with extensive expertise in breathing problems, cough, chest infections and lung nodules as well as having a special interest in bronchiectasis, non-tuberculous mycobacterial lung disease and tuberculosis including latent tuberculosis. Graduating from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1991, Dr Creer completed his specialist medical training in London, including renowned institutions such as the Royal Free Hospital, the London Chest Hospital, and St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He holds fellowship status with the Royal College of Physicians and has been a specialist respiratory and general medicine physician since 2004.

Dr Creer's breadth of respiratory expertise encompasses the assessment and management of the common respiratory symptoms, including cough, breathing difficulties and wheezing. He has specialist skills in clinical assessment and interpreting diagnostic tests such as chest x-rays, chest CT scans, and breathing tests, He has extensive experience in the investigation of lung nodules, in the investigation of potential lung cancers and lung cancer screening. He also performs advanced procedures including bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS-TBNA), having conducted over 2000 procedures. As a tuberculosis specialist he has specialist knowledge relating to the interpretation and management of people with positive tuberculosis related blood tests (IGRA).
