Mr Hani Ertemi

Mr Hani Ertemi is a renowned consultant urologist practising in Sawbridgesworth and Essex. Specialising in a range of urological conditions, his areas of expertise include kidney stones, prostate enlargement, blood in the urine, blood in the semen, scrotal swelling, foreskin problems and impotence.  

With an impressive academic background, Mr Ertemi obtained his MRCS (Eng) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006, followed by an MD (Res) from UCL in 2013. He completed his formal education with the FRCS (Urol) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014. His dedication to continuous learning is evident in his training, which included specialised urology training in North East London, encompassing esteemed institutions such as Barts Hospital and Royal Free Hospital. He successfully passed his FRCS urology exam in 2014 and received his specialist training certificate from the GMC in 2015.

As a specialist in ureteric and kidney stone surgery, Mr Ertemi has conducted hundrads successful laser ureteroscopic surgeries for both ureteric and kidney stones. His proficiency also extends to laser prostatic surgeries (HoLEP) together with various general urology surgeries for example, circumcision, hydrocele repair, vasectomies, epidydmal cyst excisions, bladder tumour resections , prostate biopsies  and many other procedures
 
Mr Ertemi's contributions extend beyond clinical practice. He has a keen interest in research and education, holding the position of honorary clinical lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University. In addition, he serves as the educational and clinical supervisor for junior doctors at University Hospital London. Mr Ertemi's commitment to advancing urological knowledge is demonstrated through his involvement in various research endeavours, presentations, and academic pursuits.

Mr Ertemi is the site lead for Urology at Basildon Hospital and the Urology Governance Lead across the three sites for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust making valuable contributions to the field of urology.
