Dr John Reed is a highly trained and skilled consultant dermatologist based in Oxfordshire, who is dedicated to providing care of the highest quality to every patient. He can assist with all general dermatological conditions, such as skin cancer, urticaria (hives), angioedema, allergies (food, pollen, animals and dust), eczema, psoriasis, moles and acne. He can also provide thorough mole checks, allergy testing and skin surgery.
Dr Reed's dermatology training took place in London and Oxford. During his medical studies, he completed a PhD in Immunology at the prestigious University College London in 2005 and from this, he found his additional interest in the treatment of urticaria, angioedema and allergies in adults.
His skill and expertise led him to become the lead of the Oxford skin cancer multidisciplinary team between 2009 and 2012. This team was the winner of the Thames Valley Cancer Network award for clinical quality in 2011. He has been the clinical lead for the Department of Dermatology at Churchill Hospital since 2012.
Furthermore, he contributes to the field of dermatology by means of research. His work has featured in various scientific journals, including those written during his PhD in Immunology. Dr Reed is also an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Oxford.
