Professor Simon Redwood is a consultant cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic London, professor of interventional cardiology and honorary consultant cardiologist at St Thomas’ Hospital, where he also serves as the director of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. He trained in cardiology at The Royal London Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and St. George’s Hospital, London, before completing advanced interventional training at The Washington Cardiology Center, Washington, DC, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals.
Professor Redwood has over two decades of experience in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and is highly skilled in all aspects of adult interventional cardiology, including transcatheter valve procedures. His expertise extends to the management of complex coronary artery disease and innovative minimally invasive treatments.
As a former President of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) from 2012 to 2016, Prof Redwood has made significant contributions to advancing interventional cardiology in the UK. He has also published extensively in leading medical journals and continues to shape the field through clinical practice, research, and education.

Exceptinal care.
I am looking for confidence and efficiency in consultants, he was both and much more.
The entry point for my angiogram is tiny, no post-op worries nor pain.
His calm and serene demeanour was exactly what was needed to smooth any concern I may have had prior to the procedure.

What a wonderful chap Professor Redwood is!
He has looked after me with great kindness and professional skill for which I will be eternally grateful.
Medical conditions are always a worry but Professor Redwood took great care to explain the TAVI operation to me and the result appears to be a success.
Every consultation with him has been a pleasure; he is always helpful and cheerful.
That is a great comfort to any patient who is worried about the outcome of the treatment.
I'm sure that all of your doctors are fantastic, but I do not feel that anyone could have done a better job than Professor Redwood.
