Prof Simon Redwood is a Consultant Cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic London, Professor of Interventional Cardiology and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at St. Thomas’ Hospital, where he also serves as the Director of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. He trained in Cardiology at The Royal London Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and St. George’s Hospital, London, before completing advanced interventional training at The Washington Cardiology Center, Washington, DC, and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals.
Prof Redwood has over two decades of experience in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and is highly skilled in all aspects of adult interventional cardiology, including transcatheter valve procedures. His expertise extends to the management of complex coronary artery disease and innovative minimally invasive treatments.
As a former President of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) from 2012 to 2016, Prof Redwood has made significant contributions to advancing interventional cardiology in the UK. He has also published extensively in leading medical journals and continues to shape the field through clinical practice, research, and education.
