Dr Steve Amerasekera is a distinguished consultant musculoskeletal radiologist based in Birmingham. His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal imaging, emergency imaging, ultrasound, as well as image-guided procedures such as injections for musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr Amerasekera consults privately at the renowned House of Health and his NHS base is at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, where he practises since 2013. With over 20 years’ experience, Dr Amerasekera originally qualified from the University of Cambridge, obtaining both an MBBChir and an MA in Biological Anthropology.
He completed his higher specialist postgraduate training in the West Midlands, going on to obtain esteemed membership to the Royal College of Physicians, as well as fellowship to the Royal College of Radiologists.
