I can only say that I was absolutely delighted with my treatment by Mr Aho. He was clear and concise and has an excellent bedside manner. And the HOLEP surgery he performed for me was almost completely painless and went without a hitch… I would highly highly recommend him. The Princess Grace Hospital where the surgery was undertaken, was impeccably clean. The staff were super friendly and professional and the whole experience was extremely positive

I had been experiencing urinary problems for some time due to an enlarged prostate. I then had an acute episode of urinary retention (stopped weeing) and made an appointment to see Mr.Aho. I already had an idea about the HoLEP procedure (laser surgery) and the fact that Mr.Aho has performed over 2000. Mr.Aho is very approachable and explained the procedure clearly. Everything he said was exactly as I then experienced it later. After the operation I felt minimal discomfort and was able to go home the following afternoon. Flow rate was immediately vastly improved and the frequency at which I went for a wee gradually improved. 3 months post op I can now mostly sleep through the night without the need to get up. I would certainly recommend both the procedure and Mr.Aho

I had a very good experience with a HoLEP procedure carried out by Mr Aho. He was recommended by my urology consultant in Aberdeen. An enquiry was made online and after a 30 minute Zoom consultation with Mr Aho an appointment was made for the operation in only 3 weeks time. The procedure was carried out under general anaesthetic and my recovery was uneventful, aided by the attentive staff and excellent food in the Princess Grace Hospital. After an overnight stay I was discharged by Mr Aho. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of post operative pain or discomfort. After a couple of minor issues along the way, after 3 months since the operation my quality of life is greatly improved and I am no longer blighted by the ‘frequency and urgency’ issues. The spectre of urinary retention has gone ( Oh, what fun that was!). My HoLEP operation seems to have been a great success and I am very glad to have had it done. I am grateful to Mr Aho and all of the other healthcare professionals involved for an overall impressive outcome.

I had been experiencing frequent urinary tract infections to the extent that I was on continuous antibiotic as a prophylactic. This was determined by testing to be due to retention of urine in the bladder - and assumed to be enlargement of the prostate as the principal causative factor. I was referred for a HoLEP with a waiting list of 18 months. I searched for options and found Mr Aho - read his reviews, his background experience, expertise and booked my procedure. The care from the moment we confirmed the arrangements (thanks to Katie, Tev’s PA), the arrival and reception at Princess Grace Hospital from the nursing team, the anaesthetist and Tev himself was outstanding. The pre-operative detail of the procedure from Tev and his team, and the aftercare by the nursing team and the clinical team was outstanding. The issue (which turned out not to be enlargement but an acute angle convolution of the ureter through the prostate) was completely resolved by the operation and the skill of Tev Aho. The results have been transformational – flow improved greatly, but most importantly no antibiotics or prostate medication, and no UTIs. I recommend Tev Aho for anyone facing similar issues.
