After suffering from urinary retention I had successively a green-light laser and then a TURP operation but neither resolved the problem and I remained catheterised. It transpired that my prostate was far too large for either operation to have been effective so I trawled the internet and discovered Mr Aho. What a find! Within 5 weeks of my first contact with Tev's fantastic staff I was in Princess Grace Hospital having the HoLEP operation that has sorted out my 'plumbing' and transformed my life. The whole process has been smooth and highly professional, Tev's skills exceptional and his manner immensely encouraging and supportive. If you're reading this and wondering whether it's right for you my advice is 'don't hesitate - get in touch now!'

The operation has proved to be a complete success. Mr Aho took care to explain how it would be performed, possible side effects, and what the end result would be. It has improved my quality of life considerably.

From my first consultation with Tev, he was very professional and put me at ease straight away regarding my Holep procedure and told me due to my huge prostate, it may well be that an incision into my bladder may be required. This turned out to be the case and still only necessitated an overnight stay at the Princess Grace Hospital and the need for a catheter to remain in-situ for a further 10 days. I recovered within 2 weeks and once all was settled down, I am only getting up once at night and emptying my bladder less often at daytime. I am still doing my pelvic floor exercises in order to regain the full urge to “pee” which might take a little while (after all I am 85!). However, I am pleased to say that there is no leakage. All in all, I am thrilled with the outcome and thank Tev for his kindly and professional service. I would highly recommend him.
