Mr Angus Lewis is a well-regarded consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a wealth of expertise in hip replacement surgery, hip pain, hip arthroscopy, hip arthritis, hip fractures, and hip dysplasia. He currently practises at The Princess Grace Hospital, which is part of HCA Healthcare UK.
Mr Lewis, who successfully obtained an MBBS in 1994 from St Mary's Hospital Medical School London, also possesses expertise in hip prosthesis, pelvic pain, pelvic reconstruction, and lower limb arthroplasty. After successfully completing his first medical qualification, he went on to complete his basic surgical training at King's College Hospital and his specialist orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital within the academic unit.
During this period, Mr Lewis notably spent a full year undergoing specialist training in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction surgery at St Georges Hospital. Impressively, he has recently developed a regional tertiary referral practice specialising in receiving pelvic referrals and treating patients requiring complex revision hip reconstruction across north west London. Mr Lewis is an extremely keen researcher and is currently pioneering research on computer-assisted navigation of reduction/stabilisation of pelvic and acetabular fractures, as well as detailed mapping of the pelvis.
