Dr Anthony Crabb is a highly regarded consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist based in Exeter, London and Manchester who specialises in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, functional neurological disorders (FND), Tourette's, tic disorders and panic attacks. With over 15 years of consultant-level experience, he is also an expert in anxiety, depression and stress, as well as psychosis.
Dr Crabb is the clinical director of the online mental healthcare service, Held Health, with whom he currently sees private patients. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and completed his medical training in Auckland, New Zealand before completing higher specialist psychiatry training in London in 2009. As a clinician, Dr Crabb is specifically trained in ADI-R (autism diagnostic interview-revised), a widely-used diagnostic technique for accurate autism assessments.
Dr Crabb has worked within private and NHS mental healthcare services throughout his esteemed career, holding a number of senior positions alongside his clinical consultant duties. He was the chair of the Paediatric Liaison Network from 2013 to 2016 and also served as the lead for the autism assessment service at Southampton Children’s Hospital. From 2020 to 2022, Dr Crabb additionally held the position of associate clinical director at North Devon CAMHS.
Dr Crabb has been recognised with eight clinical excellence awards for his contributions to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, including quality and service improvements, as well as medical education and training. He is on the GMC's specialist register for child and adolescent psychiatry.
