Dr Ben Parker is an experienced consultant rheumatologist practising at the Spire Manchester Hospital. Dr Parker provides a full, general rheumatology service including diagnosis and treatment of early inflammatory arthritis, long-term management of the inflammatory arthritides (such as rheumatoid arthritis), and care of non-inflammatory musculoskeletal disorders such as gout, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and soft tissue disorders.
After obtaining his MRCP, Dr Parker undertook specialist training in rheumatology in Manchester, where he secured an Arthritis Research UK Clinical Research Fellowship to study cardiovascular outcomes in SLE. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Manchester in 2012. Dr Parker is currently a committee member for the update of the NICE Clinical Guideline (GC79) for rheumatoid arthritis.
