Professor Bernard Prendergast is Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Cleveland Clinic London and continues his NHS work as a Consultant Cardiologist at St Thomas’ Hospital in Westminster. Trained in Cardiff, Paris, and Edinburgh, he previously held Consultant roles at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, and the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

An expert in valvular heart disease, his research has resulted in over 400 publications, including in The New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet. He is a sought-after speaker and has held prominent leadership roles, including Honorary Secretary of the British Cardiovascular Societies and Chairman of the European Society of Cardiology’s Working Group on Valvular Heart Disease.

Professor Prendergast is also the incoming Chairman of PCR, the world’s largest educational platform in interventional cardiology, and Course Director of PCR London Valves. At Cleveland Clinic London, he combines clinical excellence with a commitment to advancing cardiology through education and research.
