Professional statement
Mr César Díaz-García, is a recognised fertility specialist and surgeon, at The Glasgow Royal Infirmity. He is also the former medical director at IVI London in Marylebone.
Mr Díaz trained at top hospitals in France, Spain, and Sweden. His research focuses on ovarian cortex transplantation, uterus transplantation, and ovarian rejuvenation. In 2012, he was part of the team that achieved the uterus transplantation.
He directed the Valencian Program for Fertility Preservation, known internationally for its work with oncology patients. He also contributed to the La Fe University IVF program in Spain, performing over 2,000 IVF cycles annually. Additionally, Mr Díaz worked in fertility surgery and gynae-oncology at La Fe University Hospital.
Since 2011, Mr Díaz has taught at the Spanish Fertility Society, La Fe University Hospital, and the University of Valencia. He is now an honorary associate professor at University of Glasgow and University College London.
Mr Díaz has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and is the former associate editor of Human Reproduction Update.
