Dr Claire Hogg is a leading paediatric respiratory consultant based in London. She holds a special interest in primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) and other chronic suppurative lung diseases.
After studying at St Andrews and Glasgow universities for her BSc, Dr Hogg underwent paediatric and early respiratory training at The Children’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia. She carried out her research and completed the final training at Royal Brompton Hospital before becoming a consultant at the Trust.
Dr Hogg manages the seminar teaching programme for all respiratory trainees at the Trust. She also teaches visiting international fellows and students, and lectures and gives presentations at conferences held by organisations such as the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society. Dr Hogg hosts twice-yearly PCD meetings for the National Commissioning Group and organises the Annual Medical Advisory Board Meeting on PCD. She also holds annual meetings for cross-centre PCD teams to audit difficult cases.
