Mr Daniel Glassman is a dedicated Consultant Breast Surgeon specialising in breast cancer, benign breast conditions, and reconstructive breast surgery. He is based at Spire Methley Park Hospital in Leeds. He also currently serves as the Clinical Lead for Breast Services at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
He completed his medical degree with distinctions and also a Master’s degree in surgery, with his initial training at St. Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine, and spent a couple of years afterwards as a core surgeon in different NHS institutions. After completing a fellowship with Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber in Clinical Leadership and Management, he joined the General Surgery Registrar programme with a special interest in Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery. In the time since he has completed a National Oncoplastic Breast TiG Fellowship with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He is a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons and the Medical Defence Union, and is a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Mr Glassman is very passionate about the diagnosis and treatment of breast symptoms, breast disease and breast surgery, ensuring that his diagnostics, technical skills, practices and facilities are up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in this field. He is highly proficient in a wide range of treatments and surgeries for breast conditions. He is a firm believer in providing bespoke services for his patients’ needs, so that each patient receives optimal care for their individual circumstances. Aside from his clinical work, Mr Glassman is involved in the training of junior doctors as an Educational Supervisor, and is Principal Investigator with the research department at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals for several National clinical trials such as ATNEC, MARECA, Approach, Roseta and Pre-Dx. His research and audit work has been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
