Miss Emma Gray is a highly respected consultant general surgeon and breast specialist based in Southend-on-Sea. She is renowned for her expertise in breast surgery, breast pain, gallstones and skin lesions, as well as hernia surgery, particularly for inguinal and umbilical hernia.
Miss Gray qualified in medicine in 1989 from the University of Cambridge and achieved fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992. After undergoing further training, she additionally gained fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons’ general surgery section in 2000 and was appointed as a consultant general surgeon at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust the following year. Miss Gray continues to serve at her NHS base and holds a number of senior positions, including lead breast surgeon, paediatric surgery lead and clinical director of the department of surgery. With extensive expertise and experience in general surgery, including paediatric general surgery, and breast surgery for benign and malignant disease, Miss Gray employs a holistic approach to ensure the best outcomes for her patients. She sees private patients at Spire Wellesley Hospital in Southend-on-Sea.
