Dr Gaurav Atreja is widely recognised as a leading specialist in neonatal medicine and paediatrics in the UK. His areas of expertise focus on immunisations, respiratory and chest problems, developmental assessment in newborns and infants and gastrointestinal problems.
Dr Atreja works passionately for the welfare of children and newborns. He facilitated the first-ever neonatal organ donation at the Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London - a pioneering act in the field of neonatal medicine in the UK. This generated worldwide interest in Dr Atreja leading to his NRI of the Year 2015 award in the Professional category.
Dr Atreja initially studied in India where he completed his postgraduate training in paediatrics. In 2004, he moved to England where he trained and began working in some of the most well-respected hospitals in London before being appointed as a specialist in neonatal medicine and paediatrics.
He is very dedicated to his work and always strives to improve the quality of neonatal care in the UK and around the world. He has most recently begun working on developing a clinical pathway to improve the process of neonatal organ donation.
