Mr Gerald Gui is a leading consultant breast and reconstructive surgeon based in London. He specialises in early breast cancer diagnosis, oncoplastic breast conservation surgery, breast reconstruction, breast cancer genetics and risk management.
Mr Gui graduated from University College, University of London, in 1986 and trained in general surgery, surgical oncology, and breast oncoplastic surgery at St Bartholomew’s and St George’s Hospitals. In 1994, he was awarded the Surgeon in Training Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (1991) and Edinburgh (1990). In 1996, he became a travelling fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Inc., New York, specialising in breast reconstructive surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, USA.
In the same year, he earned a master of surgery degree from the University of London. Mr Gui serves as a teacher and examiner for the University of London and holds the position of honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Cancer Research in London. He is part of the teaching faculty for postgraduate surgery courses for advanced breast trainees, including those organised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Additionally, he leads industry-sponsored masterclasses in breast reconstruction at The Royal Marsden Hospital, attracting consultant surgeons from the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
