Mr Giles Stafford is a consultant orthopaedic hip surgeon specialising in hip arthritis, hip arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) alongside sport hip injuries, total hip replacement and hip dysplasia. His clinic, Sport Hip London, is held at London Bridge and Wellington Hospitals both in Central London.

Mr Stafford is a patient-focused professional with a multidisciplinary approach to his practice, which includes further specialties such as labral tears and hip-replacement procedures including bone conservating, mini and revision hip replacement. He regularly uses custom-made, patient-specific 3D printed instruments and implants, priding himself in enhanced recovery techniques, keeping post-operative pain, lengths of stay and complications to a minimum.

His qualifications and training reflect his extensive hip-surgery expertise. Mr Stafford qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in 1999 which was followed by training at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Then, he completed an orthopaedic training programme at the North West Thames Foundation School at Imperial College London and is a fellow at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Stafford's clinical work is complemented by his teaching and published research. He teaches hip arthroscopy courses, is published in numerous peer-reviewed journals such as The Bone and Joint Journal and regularly presents at conferences both nationally and internationally.
