Dr Gonzalo Salazar de Pablo is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, practising privately at the Soke in London. He treats a broad range of psychiatric conditions for young people, such as depression, mood disorders, OCD and ADHD.
Dr Salazar de Pablo has extensive experience; aside from a PhD, he holds Master's degrees or specialist certifications for the following: psychiatric treatments for children and adolescents, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, integrative psychotherapy, legal and forensic psychiatry, research in mental health, and quality & patient safety. He undertook international internships in medicine and clinical research at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Norwich, the Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester in New York, and the Zucker Hillside Hospital in New York.
In addition to his psychiatric practice, Dr Salazar de Pablo is also a driven educator and researcher. He has been a Senior Clinical Lecturer with King’s College London since 2022 for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, after three years as a clinical and research fellow as part of the Early Psychosis: Intervention and Clinical-detection (EPIC) Laboratory at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. He has participated in more than 15 research projects and is certified as a trainer for the use of prodromal symptom scales for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He has authored several book chapters, abstracts, and articles in indexed Journals such as JAMA Psychiatry and The Lancet Psychiatry.
Dr Salazar de Pablo is on the executive committee of the Sociedad Española de Psiquiatría y Salud Mental (SEPSM), on the board of directors for La Asociación Española de Psiquiatría de la Infancia y la Adolescencia (AEPNyA), and is an editor for the Children and Adolescent Mental Health NHS Service (CAMH) journal. Dr Salazar de Pablo is passionate about the mental health of young people and works with his patients to better their resilience, self-esteem, and problem-solving skills.
