Professional statement
Mr Jonathan Noël is a distinguished consultant urological and robotic prostate surgeon based in London. His areas of expertise include prostatectomy (prostate removal), robotic radical prostatectomy, Aquablation, transperineal prostate biopsy, and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), as well as the management of prostate cancer, hydrocele, and adult circumcision. Notably, Mr Noël is highly proficient in advanced prostatectomy techniques, including the Royal Marsden's anterior Retzius-sparing approach and the Lister Hospital's NeuroSAFE for neurovascular structure adjacent frozen section examination.
Mr Noël consults privately at HCA UK at The Shard, at HCA UK Canary Wharf Outpatients, and at The London Clinic. He holds an MBBS from The University of the West Indies and completed his higher specialist training in urological surgery in London, complemented by a senior registry at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, he holds the esteemed FRCS (Urology) qualification to the Intercollegiate Royal College of Surgeons, and the MRCS from The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Mr Noël is a double robotic surgery fellowship-trained urologist, having pursued the Endourological Society robotic fellowship in single and multi-port robotic platforms at the Global Robotics Institute in Florida, becoming the only UK surgeon to receive formal mentorship from Professor Vipul Patel. This highly sought-after mentorship was later followed by an additional robotic fellowship at the Hertfordshire and South Bedfordshire Urological Cancer Centre and a prestigious Royal College of Surgeons robotic fellowship in Stevenage.
In addition, Mr Noël also serves as an NHS consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’, one of London’s leading tertiary hospitals, where he performed over 100 robotic procedures within his first year (surpassing the UK median) and also played a pivotal role in introducing Aquablation robotic surgery for benign prostate enlargement. Furthermore, he leads in prostate cancer diagnosis at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust for the South East London Cancer Network. As a leader in his specialty, Mr Noël was awarded the East Midlands Urological Society Gold Medal from the NHS East Midlands and Peninsula Deanery in 2013.
