Mr Joseph Shalhoub is a distinguished consultant vascular surgeon with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic research. Specifically, he is an expert in peripheral artery bypass surgery. His clinical interests include aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and diabetic foot ulcers. He combines his evidence-based approach with advanced surgical techniques to deliver exceptional care.
He completed his medical training with honours at Imperial College School of Medicine and pursued postgraduate surgical training at prestigious London institutions, including St Mary’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and a recipient of the Gold Medal for the highest mark in the Fellowship of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS) examination, he is recognised as a leader in his field.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Mr Shalhoub holds a PhD and a Master’s in Education (MEd) from Imperial College London, reflecting his commitment to research and teaching. He is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, where he actively participates in large-scale studies, including National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) trials.
