Miss Leena Chagla is an experienced consultant general surgeon specialising in breast surgery, oncoplastic surgical techniques and colorectal surgery. She is currently the head of the breast unit at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals. This unit is very committed to the innovation and introduction of cutting-edge techniques for the detection of cancers in the UK.

Equal to her clinical work, Miss Chagla is very involved in working to improve and standardise breast cancer care through both education and training. At present, Miss Chagla is an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool and an advisor to Public Health England for breast screening. She is also the Honorary Secretary of the Association of Breast Surgery and President-elect of the Liverpool and Northwest Society of Surgeons. At present, Miss Chagla has several private clinics based in and around St Helens, near Warrington and Liverpool.
