Miss Melanie Field

Professional statement

Miss Melanie Field is a highly experienced consultant renal transplant and parathyroid surgeon. She graduated with Distinction in Medicine from Birmingham University in 2002. She completed her junior and higher surgical training in hospitals across the West Midlands. She currently practises at The Harborne Hospital. 

With a strong passion for Medical Education, she furthered her expertise by earning a Master’s degree in the field. Miss Field has held several educational leadership positions, including Royal College of Surgeons Tutor at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. She currently serves as the Foundation Programme Training Director at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she continues to contribute to the development of medical training.
