Mr Nader Neil Terry Rehmatullah
Professional statement
Mr Nader Neil Terry Rehmatullah is a highly accomplished consultant hip and knee surgeon based at the Regenesis Clinic in Manchester. He has specialist interest in knee surgery, subspecialising in sports knee reconstruction and joint replacement surgery.
Mr Rehmatullah takes immense pride in being able to keep people active for as long as possible through a range of specialised treatment plans and operations, with the aim of delaying the need for a knee replacement. Increasing age alone does not rule out any specific treatment option.
In 2023, he was appointed as the Welsh National Clinical Lead for knee surgery, a role he currently holds. This position ensures that he offers the most up-to-date and safe treatments to all of his patients and remains aware of advances in treatment options.
He was invited to become, and accepted, the position of knee surgeon for Warrington Town Football Club following a recommendation. He takes immense pride in this role.
Mr Rehmatullah consistently receives positive feedback from patients, relatives and staff, who compliment him on his patient interactions and his ability to explain diagnoses, outcomes and treatment plans in a manner that everyone can understand.
He was born in England and educated in Cambridge. He completed a BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology with honours and went on to study medicine at the first exclusively UK graduate-entry medical school at Warwick University. He undertook his basic surgical training in the Cambridge Deanery and his specialist orthopaedic training in Mersey. He then completed two subspecialist fellowships in sports knee reconstruction and knee arthroplasty.
Following his fellowship, he has maintained strong links with Oswestry and attends monthly complex sports knee clinics. He also participates in the monthly national knee cartilage meeting. These forums allow him to discuss the most complex cases with a body of national knee experts to ensure the best possible treatment.
Mr Rehmatullah has published papers on sports knee surgery and other areas of orthopaedics. He is also an examiner on the Wrightington Trauma and Orthopaedic Revision FRCS course for upcoming consultants.
