Dr Nikhil Patel is a highly accomplished consultant radiologist with expertise in breast cancer imaging and related interventional procedures, breast cancer screening as well as multimodality breast oncology imaging, including CT, breast MRI and MRI scans.
He is currently practising privately at OneWelbeck Women's Health, Chelsea Outpatients Centre, and Basinghall Clinic and is a BUPA platinum-assured consultant. He holds a substantive NHS consultant post at King’s College Hospital, London.
Dr Patel notably completed his medical training at the esteemed University College London Medical school in 2010, graduating with distinction in clinical practice and successfully undertook his sub-specialty radiology training at University College Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London respectively. His specialist experience includes screening and symptomatic breast radiology, including high-risk family history screening, ultrasound and X-ray, guided biopsies and vacuum excisions, localisation procedures for breast cancer surgery, and leading the breast screening and oncology multidisciplinary team meeting.
Dr Patel is the current course director for the King’s Breast MRI course. Not only that, but he also regularly lectures on a number of national workshops every year. He continues to be actively involved in both the teaching and training of breast radiologists and allied health professionals at King’s College Hospital and the National Breast Screening Training Centre.
