Dr Olympia Tsilochristou is a distinguished consultant allergist based in London. Dr Tsilochristou qualified with an MD from the University of Ioannina. She undertook core medical training at Katerini General Hospital, before going on to complete higher specialist training in allergy in 2014. This included visiting research fellowships at Carlos Haya University Hospital and higher specialty training in allergy at Attikon University Hospital.
Following her specialty training, Dr Tsilochristou spent a year as a research fellow in molecular allergology at Charité Berlin, then another year as a clinical research fellow in paediatric allergy at St Thomas’ Hospital. In 2017, she joined the clinical research team at the prestigious King’s College London, led by the esteemed Professors Lack, du Toit, and Till, to investigate the connection between food allergies and eczema.
Dr Tsilochristou also has an active research career and has co-authored the European Guidelines on Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis, among other works. Her PhD focused on on allergic rhinitis, with particular emphasis on local allergic rhinitis - a form of the condition that may often go undiagnosed.
