Dr Pablo Nenclares is a consultant clinical oncologist and cancer researcher based in London, specialising in head and neck cancer, bowel cancer and rectal cancer, alongside radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. He currently practises at Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and holds a consultant role at Barts Health NHS Trust. Dr Nenclares leads clinical trials as a principal investigator at Barts Cancer Centre, contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment through innovative research.
Dr Nenclares graduated in medicine from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, and then went on to complete his oncology training at both Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, Spain, and The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. He was awarded a PhD from the University of London (The Institute of Cancer Research), and his current research focuses on enhancing the efficacy of radiotherapy and immunotherapy, and developing methods to monitor immune responses to treatment.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Nenclares is an Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of Targeted Intervention & Interventional Science at University College London and an Honorary Researcher at the Institute of Cancer Research. He is actively involved in professional organisations as a member of the ECMC JING Steering Committee and serves as the radiotherapy O-TRC Group representative for Barts Cancer Centre.
