Dr Parthiban Arumugam

Dr Parthiban Arumugam is a leading nuclear medicine consultant in Greater Manchester, who specialises in nuclear cardiology and general nuclear medicine.

Dr Arumugam graduated from Madras Medical College, India in 1990 with his MBBS. He trained in nuclear medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary between 1998-2003. His first consultation post was the Royal Liverpool Hospital from 2003 until 2005. He re-joined the team at Central Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in March 2005 and since then has been in post as a consultant and clinical lead in nuclear cardiology.

Since 2014 Dr Arumugam has been a clinical director at the Nuclear Medicine Centre Manchester University Hospital Foundation Trust. He is a past president of the British Nuclear Cardiology Society and past council member of the British Nuclear Medicine Society and British Cardiovascular society. He is currently a member of the British Nuclear Medicine Society Education Committee.
