Dr Paul Brennan is a leading consultant clinical geneticist who forms part of The International Gene Clinic team, based in London. Initially trained as an adult physician, Dr Brennan later specialised in paediatrics and clinical genetics. His expertise lies in cardiovascular genetics, particularly in congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia syndromes, aortic aneurysm syndromes, and sudden adult death. He has served as clinical lead in this field for 15 years.
Additionally, Dr Brennan focuses on cancer genetics, serving as clinical lead at the Teesside Genetics Unit in James Cook University Hospital for 16 years and recently assuming the role for the entire North Eastern region. He pioneered the development of one of the UK's first nurse-led triage services for families affected by cancer. He also has a specific interest in endocrine tumour syndromes.
