Mr Pawel Trapszo

Mr Pawel Trapszo is a highly respected consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon based in Maidstone and Orpington. He is renowned for his expertise in breast cancer and oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, particularly mastectomy, preventative mastectomy and lumpectomy procedures, as well as breast reduction.

Mr Trapszo qualified in medicine in 1992 from Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. He went on to specialise in general surgery, completing his training as a specialist surgical consultant in 2001. Following this, he gained international experience through an eighteen month surgical post in Germany and later through his work in the UK at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford. In 2009, he undertook a position at the Royal Marsden Hospital as a specialty doctor in breast surgery. Several years later, Mr Trapszo was invited to undertake a deputy head position at a specialist breast cancer centre in Germany, where he was responsible for expanding the breast surgery service and establishing a state-of-the-art oncoplastic service. In addition, he also attained certification from the German Cancer Association during this period in recognition of his dedication. Mr Trapszo returned to the UK in 2016 to undertake the position of consultant breast surgeon at Darent Valley Hospital, where he continues to serve. He currently sees private patients at GenesisCare Maidstone and LycaHealth Orpington.

Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Mr Trapszo is actively involved in a number of service improvement and research projects. With his wealth of experience and expertise in the field, he is able to make use of the latest techniques in breast reconstruction surgery in his daily practice, including lipofilling, nipple-areola-complex (NAC) reconstruction and implant based reconstructions with acellular dermal matrix (ADM).
