Mr Raffaele Napolitano is a consultant in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics. He privately practises at Ultrasound Diagnostic Services on Harley Street, London, where he provides fetal medicine scans for pregnant women and he practices for the NHS at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust. He provides an expert range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in fetal medicine, preterm birth and looks after women in labour. He set up the Small Baby Clinic (Late Fetal Growth Restriction Clinic) at UCLH, where women with babies having growth problems or at risk of compromise are referred.

Mr Napolitano is highly qualified with a MD from the University of Naples, 'Federico II', Italy (2005). He also obtained the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2011), which included a Clinical Research Fellowship in Fetal Medicine at St George's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (2009 - 2010).

He also has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Naples, in collaboration with the University of Oxford, where he wrote a dissertation entitled 'Fetal brain growth and development' as part of the INTERGROWTH-21ST Project. Mr Napolitano did subspecialist training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (August 2014 - November 2016).

Further to Mr Napolitano's esteemed educational history, he continues to invest is doctor education and training. He is the lead consultant for the Ultrasound Screening Unit at UCLH and is the programme director of the Masters Programme in Obstetric Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine.

Mr Napolitano's research has been published in over 30 peer-reviewed journals and more than 150 congress abstracts and book chapters. He is a member of international societies including the Clinical Standards Committee of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetric and Gynaecology (ISUOG) and the Intrapartum Study Group of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
