Dr Rick Veasey is a consultant cardiologist who provides high-quality care in all aspects of general cardiology and is based in Hastings at Sussex Premier Health. His range of expertise includes, but is not limited to, palpitations, syncope (fainting) atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders. With a subspecialty interest in advanced rhythm management, he is renowned for his expertise in providing treatment for heart rhythm abnormalities: ablation, electrophysiology and complex and simple devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
His medical training took place in the South East of England and at several highly regarded hospitals such as the Royal Sussex County Hospital and King's College Hospital. Dr Veasey is an avid researcher. Some of his main interests for research are atrial fibrillation, ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation and pacemaker therapies. His work is widely published and features in some of the most prestigious scientific journals, including Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology and the EP Europace journal.
