Ms Shirin Khanjani is a leading London consultant gynaecologist and sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery who assists patients with the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gynaecological conditions. This involves endometriosis, infertility and menopause, alongside pelvic floor disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and poor ovarian reserve. Whilst Ms Khanjani has glowing reviews on aiding women with successful conception, unfortunately in relation to pre menstrual issues, no substantive or reassuring advice was provided. I went to see Ms Khanjani for my hormonal migraines which I have been suffering for 15 years now. Whilst I was given the generic advice of staying hydrated, and eating well, the advice was to get pregnant, which was not a primary solution for me.
I understand from a couple of symptoms shared she advised a particular hormone was low, she however refused to allow me to get my hormones tested to rule anything else out, as I was keen to see for example if my cortisol levels were also playing a part.
She suggested she was refer me to a headache specialist, for preventative measures (note this was not suggested on my aftercare summary despite mentioning this in the appointment) however my issue was to find the root cause of my issue
I have been suffering this debilitating condition for 15 years now and to not provide further tests made me come out this appointment even more confused and hopeless.
