Mr Shwan Ahmed

Mr Shwan Ahmed is a highly skilled consultant urological surgeon who specialises in the treatment and management of urological disorders of the kidneys, bladder, prostate and male genitalia. As an expert in both general and specialised urological conditions, Mr Ahmed has particular proficiency in holmium laser fragmentation and minimally invasive surgery, including cryosurgery and Urolift procedures. Mr Ahmed is part of the renowned Sussex Premier Health group.

Mr Ahmed qualified from the University of Baghdad and completed urological training in the South East of England, including at Guy’s and King’s College Hospital. He was appointed consultant urologist at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 2014 and became the urology cancer lead only four years later. Mr Ahmed is, at present, the urology clinical lead for cancer at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons.
