Dr Sonia Wartan is a pain medicine and anaesthesia consultant at the Oak Tree Clinic. She specialises in anaesthesia, pain management, caudal epidural, lower back pain, sciatica and pelvic pain. She's one of the few consultants who concentrate solely on pain medicine. She trained in anaesthesia and pain medicine at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals in London, where she also researched phantom limb and neuropathic pain.
Dr Wartan is actively involved in teaching and training. She founded the advanced pain medicine training programme at Aneurin Bevan University Hospitals.
