Dr Sridhar Kamath is a highly skilled consultant clinical radiologist based in Cardiff with 20 years’ experience who specialises in all modalities of musculoskeletal radiology, including MRI, CT and ultrasound scans, as well as MR arthrography and spine imaging. He also routinely performs a wide and comprehensive range of interventional procedures, such as ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections, for sports injuries, rheumatological conditions and tumour pathologies.
Dr Kamath, who consults privately at the renowned Alliance Medical Cardiff centre, qualified from Kasturba Medical College, India in 1996 with honours. After obtaining an MD from Birmingham University in 2002, Dr Kamath undertook his radiology training at the prestigious Peninsula training scheme in Plymouth. He was later awarded a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the prestigious Nuffield Orthopaedics Centre in Oxford to further his expertise in diagnostics and interventions. He is a fellow of the Royal of Radiologists since 2005.
In addition to his clinical radiology practice, Dr Kamath is also committed to medical education. He teaches in numerous national, international and FRCR examination courses for orthopaedic and musculoskeletal radiology, and he is an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University since 2007. Dr Kamath has published extensively in the field of radiology medicine in peer-reviewed journals, and is also an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists.
