Mr Vijitha Chandima Halahakoon is a highly accomplished consultant general surgeon based in Colchester, Essex. Mr Halahakoon has a strong interest in surgical teaching and currently works as the undergraduate surgical tutor at Colchester General Hospital, ESNEFT and as a tutor at the ICENI Centre of the Colchester General Hospital, ESNEFT.
Mr Halahakoon is also the author of numerous research publications and his work has been published in several reputed journals. He has spoken at multiple national and international medical conferences and is a member of multiple medical organisations, including The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

This is the second time that I have been treated by Mr Halhakoon for an inguinal hernia. He was on both occasions professional, positive, sympathetic and reassuring. The procedure was completed via key hole incisions promptly and with minimal discomfort as a day patient.
