Dr Zoe Astroulakis is a leading consultant interventional cardiologist based in London. Her areas of expertise include chest pain, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, cardiac rehabilitation, risk factor management, as well as coronary angiography and angioplasty procedures via the radial artery (wrist). She is highly proficient in the latest technologies for coronary arteries, including optical coherence tomography, pressure wire studies, drug-coated balloons, and bio-resorbable scaffolds.
Dr Astroulakis consults privately at New Victoria Hospital. She holds an MBBS from University College London, having previously obtained a BSc (Hons) in Cell Pathology, and was also awarded a PhD from King’s College London. Dr Astroulakis undertook her cardiology speciality training in London, at the prestigious King’s College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, before going on to complete sub-specialty training in interventional cardiology at the London Chest Hospital.
Additionally, Dr Astroulakis’ extensive background also includes additional training at the London Ambulance Service's Advanced Paramedic Practitioners in the management of emergency heart attack patients in the hospital setting.
