Dr Zoe Astroulakis is a leading consultant interventional cardiologist based in London. Her areas of expertise include chest pain, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, cardiac rehabilitation, risk factor management, as well as coronary angiography and angioplasty procedures via the radial artery (wrist). She is highly proficient in the latest technologies for coronary arteries, including optical coherence tomography, pressure wire studies, drug-coated balloons, and bio-resorbable scaffolds.
Dr Astroulakis consults privately at New Victoria Hospital. She holds an MBBS from University College London, having previously obtained a BSc (Hons) in Cell Pathology, and was also awarded a PhD from King’s College London. Dr Astroulakis undertook her cardiology speciality training in London, at the prestigious King’s College Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, before going on to complete sub-specialty training in interventional cardiology at the London Chest Hospital.
Additionally, Dr Astroulakis’ extensive background also includes additional training at the London Ambulance Service's Advanced Paramedic Practitioners in the management of emergency heart attack patients in the hospital setting. She currently serves as an NHS consultant at St George’s University Hospitals, where she has also worked as an honorary senior lecturer since 2012.

After two telephone consultations with Zoe, I met her face to face. It is my absolute pleasure to have this opportunity to give feedback about this exceptionally empathetic Consultant. I’m lucky enough to have been signed off her books but if my cardiac investigations had led to some action being needed then I would not have felt in safer hands. Zoe (for she invites you to address her by her first name) has such an easy manner and is so emotionally intelligent that she makes one feel immediately at ease both on the phone and in person. Importantly, she is very thorough and diligent without putting the fear of god into one! I went through a gamut of tests for which I was so grateful and was given the good news that I was to be signed off yesterday. From my initial consultation, Dr Astrolakis made me feel at ease and addressed my concerns professionally.

I would highly recommend Dr Astroulakis as an exceptional cardiologist. Her reassuringly thorough approach meant going to huge efforts to obtain all historical test results and following up on past treatments, which was much appreciated. Her professional and efficient, yet personable and caring manner, left me feeling I was in the most capable hands.I feel incredibly grateful to her for her time and expertise and would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Dr Astroulakis, is an excellent doctor and wonderful person. She listened to me and took my concerns seriously. She made sure everything was thoroughly checked. I highly recommend Dr Zoe Astroulakis. Her manner is very friendly, kind and caring and she immediately puts you at ease. She listens to and takes into consideration your viewpoint and your preferences for your care.
Dr Zoe is a very knowledgeable and professional specialist; is extremely thorough in her diagnostic tests and referrals; and clearly explains any tests/ procedures needed and the reasons for doing them. She was also very clear in explaining the test results and what they mean. Thank you for your great care and reassurance.

It has been an absolute pleasure being attended by Dr. Zoe Astrolakis.
She is been very aprochable, opened listener, empathetic human being with full knowdledge and profesionalism in her grounds. Looking after all type of patients from her heart as a good doctor, looking after any type of diagnosis or concerns that patients have, also those who were not related to her specialty as a Gp or psychologist, not just cardiac related.
She followed appointments very quickly and profesional, reviewing past historical records and tests, requesting new tests if needed.
I am amazed with her treatment, I felt talking with a bright star feeling and receiveing her good energy during all the proccess.
Carismatic, joifull, loving and positive actitud that is passed to the patient's soul. I'd say she is the type of doctor who can cure many people just with a smile and revitalised energised supporting manners.
