Miss Joanna Cook is a consultant gynaecologist, with over 20 years of experience, based in Ipswich. She has primarily specialised in sexual and reproductive health and gynaecology. Her areas of expertise include menopause symptoms, menstrual disturbances, recurrent and late pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), sexual and reproductive health and gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound scans.
 
Miss Cook graduated from St. George's Hospital Medical School, London, in 2003 and also holds a degree from University College London. She was awarded MCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2011. Her obstetrics and gynaecology training took place at prestigious London institutions, including Guy’s & St. Thomas’, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital.
 
Alongside her clinical practice, Miss Cook takes a keen interest in medical research, and has conducted extensive postgraduate research on epigenetic changes during pregnancy at Imperial College London, earning a PhD from Imperial College London for her work. She has published numerous research papers and delivered lectures in countries such as Italy, Sweden, Canada, and the USA.
