Ms Tamzin Cuming is a distinguished consultant colorectal surgeon with a comprehensive medical education from the University of Cambridge and Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals. Her surgical training began in Brighton and continued through the North East Thames training programme, where she first encountered high-resolution anoscopy (HRA) at the National Unit at Homerton Hospital in East London.
After completing her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and earning a Master’s degree in Surgical Education from Imperial College, Ms Cuming was appointed as a consultant surgeon at Homerton Hospital in 2013. It was there that she further honed her expertise in HRA, becoming a key figure in the field.
Currently, Ms Cuming leads the Homerton Anogenital Neoplasia Service, the national unit specialising in HRA. Her contributions extend beyond her clinical work, as she serves as the vice-president elect of the International Anal Neoplasia Society and chair of the Women in Surgery Forum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
