5 My experience of my ‘Twilight’ procedure with Jonathan was amazing! It was just like he promised, a spa treatment! I was comfortable throughout the procedure, I felt relaxed & warm, enjoyed the background music I could hear , it was completely pain free & love my result already! D. B

The beauty of today's aesthetic surgery and twilight anaesthesia is that it is so incredibly precise and professionally proficient that we can deliver a 'spa experience' from a very technical and highly professional surgery. Dial back a few years, and the result that you already love would have required general anaesthetic, an overnight stay in hospital, and a week of downtime.. 5 My experience with ‘twilight’ sedation was extremely positive. I read about it before the operation and knew that it I would feel relaxed, and the recovery would be much easier than from general anesthesia. In reality it went much better than I expected. I was given the drug just before the procedure and felt like falling asleep but being aware of what was going on. I heard the surgeons talk to each other and give me instructions to open/close eyes. I didn’t feel any pain and lost count of time, I felt at ease, like my mind was floating somewhere. I remember being transferred to recovery area and nurses taking care of me. When I was fully awake, I thought the operation took 30-40 min, while it actually lasted 2.5 hours. I didn’t feel any negative effects of the sedation and I was fit to go home in a couple of hours. If I had to have another surgery in future I would definitely choose the ‘twilight’ anesthesia N. I

Revision septorhinoplasty is one of the most challenging procedures, and it is a pleasure to be able to listen to an articulate patient describe what the aims are. Only with that level of understanding can we take the correct techniques and apply them safely. The conversation and communications of the 'analytic phase' are so important because that is what directs the technical skills to achieve a happy result. As the swelling in the nose recedes, we will see the shape and definition of the nose become ever more refined. I am also delighted that your breathing is so much better. It is lovely to see combination surgery come together where the result is greater than the sum of the parts!
