Dr Czako then went on to receive haematology training in the Department of Haematology and Transfusiology, University Hospital Bratislava. In 2006, he successfully obtained a specialisation degree in haematology and transfusiology. Between 2006 and 2008, he worked as Consultant Haematologist in the Department of Clinical Haematology and Transfusiology, and the Stem Cell Transplant Centre.

In August 2008, Dr Czako moved to the United Kingdom and in February 2009 he was appointed to the substantive Consultant Haematology post at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, where he continues to work. During his career in the UK, he has undertaken various additional NHS roles such as Lead for the Haematology Multidisciplinary Team and Trust Lead for Chemotherapy Service, roles in which he continues to serve. He was formerly Clinical Lead for Haematology and currently holds the position of Educational and Clinical Supervisor.

Professor Bhik Kotecha is an awarded and internationally renowned consultant ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon practising in the Essex area at his private clinics. Professor Kotecha began having a desire to teach quite earlier on in his career, starting by teaching anatomy to medical and dental students and an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Liverpool. He has since held various medical education roles, but most prominently as an honorary senior lecturer and now his latest role as an honorary clinical professor at Barts and the London School of Medicine.

Not only has Professor Kotecha been published more than 100 times in peer-reviewed journals, has had chapters published, has published textbooks, and lectured nationally and internationally, but he has also appeared on television interviews and in popular papers. He further consolidated his interventional skills in all aspects of complex coronary intervention while working as interventional fellow at Bournemouth Heart Centre for 2 years.

Dr Singh successfully completed his research PhD from University of Aberdeen working on a British Heart Foundation funded project. He gained specialist expertise in exercise MUGA scans, transthoracic echocardiography, cardiopulmonary exercise tests, cardiac MRIs and MR spectroscopy, while evaluating the role of metabolic modulation in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction syndrome.

He has successfully published and presented several abstracts, posters, case reports and publications at various national and international meetings and primary care institutions.
