Dr Federica Boecklin is a distinguished specialist in integrative medicine based in London, boasting over 30 years of extensive experience. Mr Kiran Varad is a highly respected consultant paediatric and general ENT surgeon who is based in London and Surrey.

He has expertise in paediatric ENT, General Adult ENT, Rhinology and Skin Cancer. He provides regional support for complex neonatal and paediatric ENT problems in Surrey. Within paediatric ENT his areas of expertise include: snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, children’s hearing problems, grommet insertion and allergic rhinitis. He is accomplished at Coblation intracapsular tonsillectomy, a newer gentler technique that minimises discomfort in children. He has sub-specialist interests in children’s airway problems, voice issues and neck lumps.

Mr Varad is an expert in all areas of General Adult ENT with particular interests in Rhinology, Sinus Surgery, Polypectomy and Excision and Reconstruction of Skin Cancers of the Head and Neck. He is a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospital Hospitals. Currently, he is the clinical lead for Children’s ENT services across South London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex (South Thames Paediatric Network). In this role he hopes to improve quality and accessibility of children’s ENT care in the South East of England.

Mr Varad graduated from King’s College London, and went onto complete his surgical training in London and Surrey. He attained a Master of Surgery in ENT with distinction at Anglia Ruskin University in 2015 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2020. He completed an advanced Paediatric ENT Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in 2021, gaining expertise in the management of all aspects of paediatric ENT. In 2021 he was appointed as a Consultant at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospital and The Royal Surrey County Hospital. 

Additional to his extensive clinical experience, Mr Varad has a well-established background in research and is an author of more than twenty academic publications. He additionally acts as a reviewer for the Clinical Otolaryngology Journal and has presented his work at key conferences both nationally and internationally. Formerly, Mr Varad served as an honorary clinical lecturer and anatomy demonstrator at the University of London. Throughout his training period, the excellence of his work was recognised with several awards, including the Leslie Michael’s prize awarded for best oral presentation at the 142nd meeting of the Semon Club in 2011. He is a member of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology.

Ms Zoe Barber is a highly regarded and experienced consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon with a specialist interest in breast cancer, breast lumps, breast reconstruction surgery, breast augmentation, breast reduction, and gynaecomastia. She practises at the Nuffield Health Cardiff Bay Hospital. 

Ms Barber was awarded the Phebe Todd scholarship to study medicine at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2009 with the Tutor’s Prize in surgery. She undertook her surgical training with a specialist interest in oncoplastic breast surgery in Oxford, the South West of England and Wales, before taking up her consultant post in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

She was appointed clinical specialty services director in 2020, responsible for breast services across the Health Board. In 2019, she was awarded the ASGBI (Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland) Gold Medal for the best performance in the FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons) examination.

In 2015, she took up a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship to work with the Los Angeles-based charity, Project AngelFood. Ms Barber is an associate fellow of the Higher Education Authority and regularly teaches as an Associate Clinical Tutor for Cardiff University and as an advanced trauma life support Instructor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

She was previously a tutor in both pre-clinical medicine and tutor in surgery at the University of Oxford. Ms Barber holds an MA in medical sciences from the University of Oxford, has published in numerous medical journals and has presented nationally and internationally. She has also published a book.

She was awarded the Medical Women’s Federation Research Prize, the Ethicon Prize, and was a finalist for the Royal Society of Medicine’s Adrian Tanner Prize. After suffering an eclamptic seizure following the birth of her twins and having her driving licence revoked for six months as a result, she undertook a systematic review and meta-analysis of seizure recurrence following eclampsia.

She presented this research to the DVLA, who have changed their national guidance as a result, meaning no other eclamptic woman will have her driving licence revoked in the future. Ms Barber worked with ITV as a medical advisor on Maternal.

Outside of work, she is a keen runner. She represented the University of Oxford at athletics, cross country and cycling. Whilst at medical school, she won the National Duathlon Championships and was selected to represent Great Britain in the World Duathlon Championships. These days, however, most of her running is with her twins in a double running buggy! She lives in the Vale of Glamorgan with her husband, also a surgeon, and her twin daughters.

Mrs Sarah Maling is an accomplished consultant ophthalmologist based in Buckinghamshire, who specialises in cataracts, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (squint). Her career in ophthalmology started in 2002 while working at the Tennent Institute in Glasgow. Mrs Maling also serves as consultant ophthalmologist lead for paediatric and strabismus and lead for cataract services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust. She is the current Chair of Training for the Royal College of Ophthalmology. In addition, Mrs Maling is an active researcher in the field of ophthalmology and has many publications on subjects such as multifocal, accommodative and mono-focal lenses in cataract surgery, and lymphatic malformation in the orbit of children.

He completed his Haematology training in 2014 and was a Clinical Lecturer in Haemato-oncology at Barts Cancer Institute until 2019. He completed his PhD investigating CAR-T cells in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and lymphoma and their modulation with immunotherapy in pre-clinical models at Barts within Queen Mary University. He was appointed at King's College Hospital in 2019 to lead the lymphoma CAR-T programme and has been chief and principal investigator on a number of CAR-T trials in lymphoid disorders. He is the apheresis lead at King’s College Hospital for haemato-oncology.
 
Dr Sanderson is fully trained in the assessment and delivery of CAR-T cells, stem cell transplantation and therapeutic apheresis. Dr Sanderson has experience in rapid access diagnostic services in Haematology particularly for abnormal blood counts and lymphadenopathy. He was awarded membership to the Royal College of Physicians in 2007 and in 2013 fellowship to the Royal College of Pathologists. Since 2020, he has served as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London.
